Who is Eligible for the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is available to individuals living with a permanent and significant disability that impacts their ability to take part in everyday activities.

To access the NDIS, you generally need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be under 65 years of age at the time of applying
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
  • Have a permanent or long-term disability that affects your daily life
  • Require support to improve independence, capacity, or participation

If you meet these requirements, you may be eligible to receive NDIS funding and support services.
